After 15 years of dedicated involvement with RDMBA, Renae has made the decision to resign from her role as General Manager to prioritize her health and necessary treatments. Throughout her tenure, Renae has made a significant difference in minor baseball in Red Deer, positively influencing numerous families and players she has worked with.
During her time as General Manager, Renae guided RDMBA’s growth from roughly 240 players to well over 900, with the association earning Baseball Alberta’s Large Association of the Year honors twice. She was a driving force in bringing Challenger Baseball to Red Deer and consistently championed our association at both the provincial and national levels. Renae’s exceptional efforts were celebrated through her receipt of Baseball Alberta’s Presidents Award, as well as the Mayor’s Special Award for her dedication to Challenger Baseball. Her leadership and unwavering commitment will be deeply missed.
The transition period will begin immediately, with a target transition date of April 30, 2026. Renae has agreed to support this transition and will remain available to RDMBA as a resource as we move through this succession process. A search for her successor will begin in the coming days and weeks. A committee of the RDMBA Board of Directors will be established to lead this process and will remain accountable to the full Board.
Renae can continue to be reached at gm@reddeerminorbaseball.com. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact the RDMBA President at president@reddeerminorbaseball.com.
Regards,
RDMBA Board of Directors
