2026 AAA Head Coach Application

Red Deer Minor Baseball Association is now accepting AAA applications for our 2026 season.

Roles Available:

Head Coach of RDMBA’s 18U AAA/BAEL Division (16-19 years of age)

Head Coach of RDMBA’s 15U AAA Division (14 and 15 years of age)

Head Coach of RDMBA’s 13U AAA Division (12 and 13 years of age)

Position Responsibilities:

These roles entail the coaching, supporting, developing, and mentoring of our athletes in alignment with the policies, codes of conduct, and ethical standards established by RDMBA and Baseball Alberta. Selected individuals are expected to comply with league schedules and attend all mandatory events designated by RDMBA and Baseball Alberta. It is essential to represent RDMBA with respect and pride, consistently setting a positive example for players during interactions with opposing teams, officials, and spectators.

Positive Attributes a successful candidate may possess:

Strong Communication/Leadership Skills:

• The ability to clearly explain techniques and strategies, understanding that players skill levels and learning styles vary, and may need different approaches in their development. Listening to your players and acknowledge their concerns. Leading your team by example.

Encouraging Attitude/Emphasis on Sportsmanship:

• Fostering a positive environment that boosts players' confidence, development and enjoyment of the game. Instilling values of teamwork, respect, and comradery in players. Inspiring players through enthusiasm and a genuine love for baseball.

Knowledge of the Game:

• Possess a solid understanding of baseball rules, strategies, and techniques and the ability to effectively relay that knowledge to your players.

Organizational Skills:

• Possess strong time management skills, planning practices and games efficiently, managing schedules, and keeping track of player development. Providing the team Manager with all pertinent information to ensure parents are informed.

Qualifications: 

Applicants are required to hold, at minimum, Provincial NCCP Coach Certification and must demonstrate a willingness to obtain any additional mandatory certifications. Successful candidates will also be expected to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Candidates with experience in playing or coaching at the post-secondary level will possess a significant advantage.

Salary: Compensation will be determined for Head Coach candidates based on their qualifications and prior experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
