2023 Registration Information

Red Deer Minor Baseball is a not for profit association that was established in 1980, it is made up of an Executive Board supported by multiple voting Board Members. 

RDMBA works under the guidelines and regulations of Baseball Alberta and Baseball Canada. 

RDMBA offers Grassroots programs for ages 4-9 (T-ball, Rally Cap and 9U) and both Competitive (AA & AAA) and Non-Competitive (A) programs for ages 10-18.

Registration Dates

15U AA/AAA and 18U AA/AAA:  Oct 15, 2022 - Jan 15th, 2023 

*Registrations for 15U AA/AAA and 18U AA/AAA will not be accepted after Jan 15th

T-Ball, Rally Cap, 9U, 11U (A,AA), 13U (A, AA, AAA), 15U A and 18U A: Oct 15, 2022 - Jan 31, 2023

*Late registrations for T-ball, Rally Cap, 9U, 11U (A, AA), 13U (A, AA, AAA) 15U A and 18U A: will only be accepted from Feb 1st, 2023 - Feb 28th, 2023 and will include a $50 late fee.

* RDMBA follows Baseball Canada's guidelines for ages on each division. There are only two exceptions to these guidelines: 

-Female baseball players may play one extra year in each division as an overage player, should they wish to do so

-Second year 9U players may register and evaluate for the 11U AA teams but must move back to 9U if they are not selected to a 11U AA team. 

All other players must register in the division that corresponds to their year of their birth.

RDMBA Refund Policy:

A request for refund submission form must be completed for any, and all, player withdraw refund requests. 

A minimum administration fee will be deducted from all refunds, with exception to import players being released from evaluations.

• Grassroots (Rally Cap T-Ball, Rally Cap and 9U), as well as 11U - 18U A player withdraws, will be subject to a 10% administration fee up to regular registration deadline, Jan 31, 2023. Withdrawals from Feb 1- April 1 will be subject to a 25% admin fee. Refunds will not be issued after April 1st, 2023 for player withdraws.

• AA/AAA registrants may request a player withdraw, full refund, minus 10% administration fee up to the regular registration deadline (Jan 15th for 18U and 15U AA/AAA and Jan 31 for 13U AA/AA and 11U AA). player withdrawals from Feb 1-April 1 will be subject to a 25% admin fee.
  • Once a player participates in evaluations, they are no longer eligible for player withdraw refunds. 
  • This does not apply to local players that are assigned to AA from AAA or to A from AA/AAA. These players will receive reimbursement for the difference between those divisions, minus the evaluation fee. 

• Player suspensions issued for disciplinary concerns are ineligible for refunds.
• Refund requests for player injuries are assessed on a case, to case basis.
