RDMBA Codes of Conduct

Coaches Code of Conduct 
  • Teach the players the rules of the game of baseball, which are not to be broken under any circumstance
  • Hazing of any kind will not be tolerated
  • Reinforce with players the importance of fun and enjoyment and that winning is only a part of it
  • Never ridicule or lash out at a player(s) for making a mistake
  • Be mindful and reasonable of the players' and family's time
  • Be respectful and courteous to opposing players and coaches
  • Establish positive relationships with game officials
  • Demonstrate and teach good sportsmanship
  • Treat the players as you would like to be treated
  • Teach with positive affirmations and protect players from profanity and derogatory comments
  • Take all necessary steps to play safe and treat injuries correctly

Players Code of Conduct

  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated
  • Play by the rules
  • Never argue with an officials' call
  • Be attentive and cooperative with everyone on the field
  • Control the emotions - no temper tantrums or mouthing off
  • Be a good sport
  • Hazing or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated
  • Practice and play hard all the time
  • Be coachable and teachable
  • Respect the Coach, he is more experienced than you

Parents Code of Conduct

  • Encourage players to be involved in baseball for their enjoyment, not yours
  • Encourage players to always play by the rules
  • Always have good sportsmanship and skill development in mind regardless of the scoreboard
  • Be mindful that players learn best by example - applaud good plays by either team
  • Show consideration and respect for the officials, even when you do not agree with their calls
  • Abuse of players, coaches, officials and volunteers will not be tolerated
  • Respect the Coach's approaches and decisions - handle any difficult situations with unselfish motives
