RDMBA Board of Directors MeetingsRed Deer Minor Baseball Association generally holds a Board of Directors meeting on the first Monday of each month. These meetings are held at either the Rosedale Community Centre on Roland Street or in the upstairs Meeting Room at the Kinex Arena. Location of the meetings will be posted on the website home page. All meetings are a 6:30 pm start time. Anyone who has a sincere interest in RDMBA may attend these meetings. The open format is intended to encourage parents of RDMBA players to observe and learn the operations of the Association. It is asked that if anyone has a critical question, concern or suggestion that they contact a Director well in advance of the meeting date so that the subject is added to the agenda and introduced at the meeting. Only Directors can put forth and pass motions at these meetings. In some situations, the President may ask non Directors to excuse themselves prior to voting on motions.
'Director only' meetings may be held if there are issues that need to be addressed quickly.
The Annual General Meeting is in the winter (December) of each year. The main purpose of this meeting is to elect a new executive for the next year. All voting members are eligible to run for these positions and to vote in this election. Any parent may become a voting member by displaying a comittment to the Association throughout the year. The AGM will be advertised approximately one month prior to the date on this website and in the Red Deer Advocate.
