 Coaching Clinics 2009

Each team may register an Off-Field Manager and three (3) Coaches.

Performance coaches must all hold Full Level I NCCP (Technical, Practical and Theory) plus Level II Technical NCCP Certification.  One registered coach on Competitive rosters must hold Full Level I NCCP Certification.  Coaches must carry proof of certification.  Any Performance coach or Competitive team who does not fulfill the certification requirements is subject to a $100 fine as per Bylaw 3 (Coaching Requirements subsection (d)), payable by the team's Association/Club (see Final Roster requirements below).  See Post-Provincial section for coach certification requirements for Western Canada Baseball and Baseball Canada National Championship play.

Community Provincial teams must have one coach on roster who has completed either Level I Technical NCCP or the new online Initiation Coach segment of the New NCCP course (deemed coach "in training).  Any Community team who does not fulfill the certification requirement is subject to a $50 fine, payable by the team's Association/Club with their team entry/roster submission on June 13, 2008.

Teams/coaches will be informed at the beginning of the year of any certification requirements needed.  These requirements must be fulfilled before the Provincial Championship weekend or that coach will NOT be allowed to be on the field.  Baseball Alberta will be providing many more Initiation (Level I Technical) and Level II Technical courses throughout the year in order for coaches to obtain proper certification.

RESPECT IN SPORTS (Required for 2008 League Play)

Please note that "Respect in Sports" is a mandatory program for all coaches in the Baseball Alberta Performance, Competitive and Community Leagues.  The Respect in Sports program is designed to give you better tools to do your job while protecting you and your players from potential liability issues involving harassment, abuse and bullying.

We are confident that you will see the immediate value once you have completed the 6 (½ hour) modules.  Upon completion of the program you can go back to any module and review the information from start to finish.  This is a tool to assist you in being a better coach and communicator while protecting everyone's best interest in today's challenging world.

For Performance and Competitive League Coaches - Any coach identified that has not completed the course by May 30th/2008 that is on the Official Roster will incur a fine of $100.00 and all subsequent games for that team will be forfeited until that coach has completed the course.

For Community League Coaches - Any coach identified that has not completed the course by July18th/2008 that is on the Official Roster will incur a fine of $100.00 and all subsequent games for that team will be forfeited until that coach has completed the course.

COACHING IN RED DEER MINOR BASBALL

RDMBA encourages volunteers to coach our young athletes.  Coaches can have a positive impact on our players and can develop friendships that will last for a long time.  If you have the desire to lead our kids with passion, encouragement and in a positive manner you can contact the RDMBA Technical Director for more information.

R
DMBA requires coaches for our Rec (house league) teams all the way up to our Performance level teams.  Coaches will require certification which will depend on the level that you chose to coach at.  Click on the Coach Application Form to view and print the application.
