RDMBA Rep Program Rules
RDMBA follows the rules of Baseball Canada.
League and Provincial play is governed by Baseball Alberta. Click for a copy of the 2008 Baseball Alberta Rules and Regulations.
RDMBA Rec Program (House League) Rules
Supplementing the Baseball Alberta rules of play are a few guidelines established by RDMBA for the Mosquito, PeeWee and Bantam age groups.
- Maximum of three innings per pitcher per game.
- Once a pitcher has been removed from the game, he/she cannot be re-entered as a pitcher in that game.
- Unlimited substitution for fielding positions.
- No player shall sit more than two consecutive defensive innings.
- Everyone present for the game will be placed on the batting order.
- There will be a maximum of five runs allowed per inning with the last inning being open.
- No new inning shall start after 8:30 PM or as agreed upon by the coaches at the start of the game.
- Home team will supply the game balls.
- Home team will be responsible for preparing the diamond for play. This includes dragging the infield and chalking the base paths.
- Home team will be responsible for scorekeeping.
- The batter's box is rectangular in shape, 3'x6' and extends forward and backward from the centre of home plate 3' with the inside line 4 inches from the edge of the home plate.
Mosquito Playing Field
- Distance from the front edge of the pitchers plate to the back point of home plate will is 44'.
- Distance between bases will be 60'.
PeeWee Playing Field
- Distance from the front edge of the pitchers plate to the back point of home plate will is 48'.
- Distance between bases will be 70'.
Bantam Playing Field
- Distance from the front edge of the pitchers plate to the back point of home plate will is 54'.
- Distance between bases will be 80'.
