Winter Conditioning Camp 2010

RDMBA is pleased to announce that a facility has been secured for a Winter Conditioning Camp.  This 12,000 square foot facility is located in the Clearview Industrial Park (just south of the City Landfill).  The camp will be for Mosquito aged players and older (10 years old and up) and will begin on Saturday, January 23 and run until Friday, March 19.  For all age groups, there will be a minimum of 1 weekday session and 1 day on the weekend with a rotating schedule.  In total each age group will receive approximately 20 hours of training time.  Finalized schedules will be determined after registrations are complete.  Local, experienced Coaches will be the instructors.

A registration night will be held on Monday, January 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the upstairs meeting room of the Kinex Arena.  Space is limited and demand is high so it is advised to be there early.  The cost of the camp is $150 per player.  Only cheques or cash will be accepted at registration.

Pitching Clinic 2009

For Mosquito and PeeWee aged players (born 1996 to 1999).  Dates are March 22, 29 and April 5, 2009.  The Pitching Coach is Brent Lazzarotto who currently pitches for the Red Deer Riggers.  The schedule is as follows:

9:00 am - 10:00 am: 1st Year Mosquito players (born 1999)
10:00 am - 11:00 am: 2nd Year Mosquito players (born 1998)
11:00 am - Noon: 1st and 2nd Year Pee Wee Players (born 1996 and 1997)

Cost is $25 per player and is limited to 25 players.  Registration night is Thursday, February 19, 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Lindsay Thurber High School, International Hall.  The pitching camp will be held at Lindsay Thurber High School.  Please enter and exit through the doors at the back of the school by the track.  Dress in sweats and bring a ball glove.  Also required is a clean pair of indoor shoes.
 

 RDMBA offers “A Day With the Braves”.  This is a one day fun camp where younger players learn skills from and interact with the Midget AAA team.  The date of the 2008 event will be published here when available.

Winter Baseball Camp

RDMBA offers a winter baseball camp from the middle of January until the end of March.  The camp is open to Mosquito, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget aged players and its current location is the Springbrook gymnasium at Springbrook ( Red Deer Airport).  The facility contains a batting cage and plenty of room for baseball drills.
