Media Center

It is important for RDMBA teams to report scores and news to the media for the following reasons 1) sports content for the media so that they can keep their listeners and readers informed and 2) our sponsors expect for their company / business name to be exposed to the Red Deer and surrounding community.

Coaches and Managers - please ensure you have a process in place to report scores and news to the media. The most efficient method of delivery to the media is by email. Set up the email in a distribution list and call it something like 'Media Sports Reports'. Be brief and to the point. The writers and broadcasters will write or announce the highlights. If they need more information, they will reply to your email. Please be aware that 1) print media has deadlines so don't expect to submit an entry past 9:00 pm and have it appear in the next day paper and 2) not everything submitted will be published as the media has a space limit. Below is contact info and a few sample reports. Be sure to include the age category, team name and sponsor.
